Oil and gas drilling within Allegheny National Forest
According to the Forest Service's Draft EIS for the revised Forest Plan, there is approximately 4,500 miles of roads within the Allegheny proclamation boundary. Approximately half of this mileage is the result of road construction for oil and gas drilling.
