Wetlands? What Wetlands?
Is the Forest Service going to protect the wetlands they have already severely impacted from the relocation and construction of the new Marienville Ranger Station? Below are a few pictures of a wetland that is located between the new ranger station and the employee parking lot. To the best of my knowledge, no NEPA analysis was ever completed for the relocation and construction of this new facility.
So, now that the Forest Service has their new ranger station, what about this wetland (or what's left of it)? Is it going to be protected from further disturbance? Or is it going to be deliberately destroyed to cover up their mistake?
